About your Fantasy Character Class

In this course with multiple sessions, James will teach students the basic skills of creating a character design, and then realizing that character in clay. Students will use traditional techniques to develop a character, create various types of designs as preparatory renderings, and finally sculpt their finished work.

Students will create a final sculpture using Super Sculpey - a polymer clay with extra strength which can be baked in the hot oven at 275 degrees. An armature - metal framework that is built and designed to support the weight of the clay will be the structure & initial "skeleton" of the figure.
