If you have been wanting to further develop your drawing skills, this is a wonderful opportunity to study drawing methods & techniques that will greatly improve your ability to see and draw well - with each and every lesson.

Artist & Teacher James Andrews earned his MA in Atelier Studio Arts at the Florence Academy of Art in 2023, and has been teaching drawing, painting, & sculpture in Kitsap County for decades. Each week, James will have new challenging lessons & exercises to help artists continue to develop and grow, while also providing guidance for longer term projects for students who are ambitious. The open studio format of these classes allows for artists of all skill levels.

Classes are intended to be taken in an ongoing pattern, with each studio session building upon work from the previous class, as well as additional work from home in between classes.
​
All participants in the Drawing Studio will also be granted FREE admission to any additional Working Artist Studio Nights they wish to attend while they are currently enrolled. This can be helpful in returning to the studio which for many of our students is the most appropriate working environment.​​

If purchasing a single session, kindly let us know afterward which date you plan to attend. If purchasing 4 classes at a time (at a discount) - attending sequentially is recommended, however if you need a custom schedule please just let us know.
Instructor James Andrews
James Andrews has been an art educator in drawing, painting & sculpture in the Pacific Northwest for the last 25 years and has recently earned a Master of Arts in Atelier Studio Arts at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. Andrews is a classical realist whose mostly figurative work has a heavy emphasis on narrative & storytelling.
